The Development President Welcomes Lancaster Theological Seminary
Lancaster’s Dr. Greg Carey Just Published
Using Our Outside Voice
Earlier this month, Augsburg Fortress Press published the latest book by Lancaster Professor of New Testament Dr. Greg Carey.
In Using Our Outside Voice, Greg Carey contends that responsible public biblical interpretation requires the ability to enter a conversation about the Bible, to understand the various arguments in play, and to offer informed opinions that others can understand.
Supporting the research and teaching of faculty members like Dr. Carey will be central to advancing the institution’s mission to educate and nurture leaders to join in God's redemptive and liberating work so that all creation may flourish.
The Lancaster community and I will collaborate to achieve the goals of its Strategic Plan, to:
Become even more relevant in advancing God’s mission in our rapidly changing society.
Become more financially secure for the long-term.
Engage in difficult but respectful conversations that bring about hope and healing.
In order to fund this vision, we will also be working together to complete Lancaster’s $9 million comprehensive campaign, The Way Forward, with aggressive targets to Grow enrollment, Renew the campus and Build endowment.
Dr. Rowe brings a “broad range of skills and experience in higher education including leadership, finance, strategic thinking, and knowledge and understanding of graduate theological education.”
